Frank Gambale, Alain Caron & Otmaro Ruiz – Trio Natural High Live

New project for the six-string ace, the Australian Frank Gambale.
His career began when he was hired by Jean-Luc Ponty and, in 1986, by his ancient idol Chick Corea who wanted him with his Elektric Band to take over the role left vacant by Scott Henderson; a six-year stay that gives birth to five albums, a Grammy Award and two nominations and projects the guitarist onto the world stage. During his career he has written revolutionary pages in dealing with melodic lines (the characteristic, dizzying sweep picking has introduced a completely new mode for plectrum guitar) but for him the technique is secondary to music. Loved by jazz circuits as by the people of rock, he led the experimentation towards unprecedented landings.
The Natural High Trio is the top meeting with two musicians who, like Gambale, have followed various itineraries of contemporary jazz. The bassist Alain Caron, originally from Quebec, considered among the most virtuous bassists around, and the Peruvian pianist Otmaro Ruiz.
